Get set for bare butt biking on June 10th

It's the World Naked Bike Ride, staged in cities around the world. Two naked rides have been placed on the Bikeforall events calendar...

"On Saturday 10 June 2006, in cities around the world, people will be riding naked to celebrate cycling and the human body," says the website for the World Naked Bike Ride.

"The ride demonstrates the vulnerability of cyclists on the road and is a protest against oil dependency. Be there, as bare as you dare!"

The event was first held in 2004. Not everybody rides totally naked but there's usually a lot of body painting involved. In Australia, police turn a blind eye to the riders being stark naked, but book anybody who doesn't wear a helmet...
