Cyclemotion

On 1st January 2006 Cyclemotion was appointed UK agent of Dahon Folding Bikes representing Dahon's interests in the UK.

Cyclemotion also acts on a consultancy basis to advise on matters relating to import and distribution of bikes or carry out specific projects for companies in the bike and leisure industries

Background:

With over 30 years of experience of design, manufacture, import and distribution of bicycles including Bickerton Portable Bikes. From 1996 to 2005 “Cyclemotion” was a division of Amethyst Group Ltd and MCL Group Ltd. From 1992 to 1996 Mark Bickerton had imported Dahon bikes as part of the activities for Fusion Cycles Ltd selling Dahon, Klein, Fusion and Voodoo bicycles.

From 1982 to 1991 he was involved as manager and latterly MD of Bickerton Rowlinson Ltd, the manufacturer of Bickerton Portable Bicycles. Whilst running Bickerton Bicycles, he imported Dahon folding bikes branded Bickerton Dahon and Bickerton Californian and some early Mountain bikes called the Bickerton Mean Green.

Cyclemotion is proud to be a member of the Bicycle Association of GB and is a contributor to the Bike Hub industry levy scheme.

Are we involved in the wider picture?
Mark Bickerton is a past council member for the Bicycle Association and sits on the Bike Hub Committee. Cyclemotion is proud to be a long standing member of the Bicycle Association of Great Britain and a contributor to the Cycle Industry levy scheme to promote the future of Cycling in the UK called Bike Hub which funds such activities as the Bike For All joint initiative with the Bicycle Association and the Department for Transport via Cycling England (formerly the National Cycling Strategy Board).
