Flick through the Bike to Work Book online
![]() |
The editor of Bikeforall has co-written a new book for wannabe bike commuters, The Bike to Work Book.
In a posting on its website, Trek said:
"Whether you're in the bike trade or you just enjoy cycling, you probably feel that there should be more people riding bikes to work in order to help the planet, help themselves and generally make cities a lot easier to get around. Nobody likes breathing in the fumes of cars and lorries stuck in traffic; nobody likes having to brace themselves against the noise a car clogged city can produce. But how do we get more people cycling?"
One of the answers is to read the Bike to Work Book.
Trek said: "The two editors of 'Bike To Work' have put together what should be seen as one of the most important works on cycling as transport in the current age. Information on all aspects of cyling to work have been covered."
Three chapters of the book are available as a flip-the-pages online experience here. 24 common excuses for not cycling to work are explored and exploded.
The full, 250+ page book will be available as a free download later in the year. A print version of the book will also be on Amazon.com and Lulu.com.
